“Spitting Stinkies”

To keep it brief, Lindsay and Zach came down with the flu yesterday. Lindsay seems to be doing much worse than Zach but is working to keep her energy up.

What is “spitting stinkies”? Well, it is the only way Zach could figure out how to describe what was coming out of his mouth. The rest of us may know it as throw up, up chuck, ralph, tossing cookies, puking, etc. Personally, I thought it was cute. Please pray for the family. Having the flu anytime is bad but the day before Thanksgiving at your house is especially bad!

I am sure Lindsay will update more when she is feeling better. Until then I hope all of you have a turkerrific Turkey day!

Update: Turns out my mom was sick over night with the flu as well. So much for Turkey day tomorrow. Looks like we’ll have to postpone the fun until later = (

Another update: Jason got it the next night. :( So did Kirsten. Then Jason’s dad sort of had it the next day. We had rescheduled Thanksgiving to today, but it was only attended by us families who had already been infected. Aaron & Amy and the extended relatives wisely stayed away. And Brian & Todd got to eat all they wanted while the rest of us nibbled!

Yet another update: Brian, Jason’s brother (Kirsten’s husband), got it early this morning (Monday). Only Todd, Bryce, and Issac are left of those who have been exposed. Watch out! At this point you might get it just by reading this!!!!

Hey-so sorry to hear about you guys. We just recently got over croup, tonsillitis and chicken pox, so I know it’s no fun to have little ones sick, especially when Mommy’s sick too, and on Thanksgiving! Will pray for a quick recovery and that no one else gets it! Hope to hear happier news soon:)

I have to laugh at the spitting stinkies… that is definitely the cutest way to describe it!… but I know it is no laughing matter. Praying for a quick recovery. Get the rest you need and enjoy your Thanksgiving meall when it sounds more appetizing.
