The Wood Family

Since Ben & Zachary finally have the same day off from school (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, instead of teacher in-service days on differing schedules) and since we both have zoo memberships, and since it’s not as cold as it could be for January in Michigan… off to the zoo we went!

Last week was (On Goal) soccer camp for Zachary. He learned techniques like pull back, inside and outside something or other, and yeah, now knows more about soccer than me. He also learned about character and sportsmanship and memorized Phil. 2:9-11. Plus he had fun with his buddy, Ben.

This was Zach in the very first minutes at camp. They had the kids vs. coaches and Zachary just went after the ball like he knew what he was doing. I was surprised – I mean impressed.

The boys and I escaped to my friend’s cottage for the work week with her and her same-aged kiddos. (Yes, being a “stay-at-home” mom has its perks.) I cannot get enough of the beach or of good friends! So thankful to the Lord for all the good gifts He gives!
