No one had to teach this child self-esteem. =) Zachary just loves to watch himself and talk to himself in the mirror. My parents have this great full-length mirror in their foyer that he really enjoyed. He practices pointing to his nose, his eyes, his mouth, and seeing if the other Zachary is following along.

Zachary loves when I go grocery shopping
and leave out some cans for him to stack. That’s my story for why the groceries aren’t always put away and I’m sticking to it.

;)

Here’s Zachary doing a little bit of sign language. I had been showing him the sign for frog for months, but the first time he used it was without prompting when seeing this giant frog in a restaurant called Spoons in downtown McKinney, Texas just before the new year. He knows many signs for animals, as well as how to say their names and their sounds (e.g., “ribbit” – but bad example – he doesn’t know that one. “Moo” and “baa” are two favorites.) He signs “please” and “thank you” and is learning “Jesus.” We just have to unteach him the signs his Uncle Aaron shows him. ;)
